i sincerely feel that the designations in IRTS definitely need to change.moreover the word 'MANAGER' is attached only with the railway traffic dept.so a change can easily be mobilized by the IRTS cadre and i believe even be easily implemented if the MT and higher administration is convinced.i thus request all officers to present there views on this issue and try to bring this to the notice of the top administration when and where possible. when our counterparts even in the railways in the RPF have designations as COMMISSIONERS why cant the IRTS cadre have a similar designation in line with our counterparts in other civil services.the notion of "manager" does not gel at all with the civil services.it was vry well said that if managers were wat were needed why civil services it is better that the Mo railways goes to IIM's and nt DOPT.
