Dear Friends and colleagues,
I am enclosing a note prepared by Shri Shanti Narain, MT(Retd), on the prospects and need for taking up studies and research projects on issues and topics of immediate relevance to IR. These activities will help IR in preparing itself to handle new challenges and also help the IRTS community- particularly those who are interested in studying a particular subject.CTRAM will seek and provide finance for such study projects and will request the Ministry of Railways to provide support to this activity.
You may like to go through the note of Shri Shanti Narain and provide your views and comments which will help us in taking the process forward. We propose to have a meeting and discussion on the subject soon and will request you to give your feed back at your earliest convenience.
